4 Fun Questions To Ask Instead Of "What Do You Do For A Living?"
Make Conversations More Memorable With These Fun Alternatives.

What I do for a living is probably one of the least exciting things about me.
I'm not defined by my work. There are so many more exciting things that I'd love to share during my one and only chance to make a first impression.
When I meet somebody new, I like to start with one of these questions instead:
#1: What is the most exciting thing that you have going on in your life right now?
Not everybody is passionate about what they do for work. It's way more fun to talk about what someone is passionate about instead!
#2: What is the best piece of advice that you've ever been given?
This question can go in so many different directions and often tells you quite a bit about the other person. I've gotten some of the best advice I've ever received by asking this question.
#3: What is your favorite thing about yourself?
This is a fun one! People can't help but feel good when they are thinking about what they love about themselves the most.
#4: What is something you've always wanted to do but haven't had a chance to do yet?
I immediately follow this question up with, "What can you do today to get one step closer to making this happen?" A fun conversation almost always ensues.
Which one of these is your favorite? How would you answer it? I would love to hear your answer in the comments.
